Berney Wilkinson, PhD

Berney Wilkinson earned his PhD in school psychology from the University of South Florida in 2005, specialising in paediatric psychology. He went on to complete a postgraduate programme and is a diplomate with the American Board of School Neuropsychology. He is a licensed psychologist in the State of Florida and owns a private practice, where he works with other psychologists and counsellors.

In addition to his clinical work, Berney is an adjunct professor for Webster University, an adjunct instructor for Florida Southern College, and a visiting instructor for the University of South Florida. He teaches courses on a variety of topics, including psychological assessment, research, test development, psychodiagnostics, psychopharmacology, abnormal psychology, and special education. He is an associate editor of Psychreg Journal of Psychology.

Berney is the co-author of the Handbook for Raising an Emotionally Healthy Child and the Pediatric Behavior Rating Scale. He writes a weekly column in his local newspaper, maintains a blog, and co-hosts The Mental Breakdown Podcast (which is availabe on iTunes, Google Play Music, and YouTube).
